Modern Slavery Statement
Financial Year 2024–2025
Introduction
Academy Education Network Ltd ("Academy Education Network", "we", "us", "our") is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
Our Business
Academy Education Network Ltd is a UK-registered student recruitment and education consultancy, registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 15681289). We connect international and domestic students with UK universities and colleges, providing guidance on course selection, applications, visa support, and pre-departure services.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains primarily consist of UK higher and further education institutions, technology and software providers, marketing and communications agencies, and professional services firms. We procure services and goods from suppliers who share our commitment to ethical business practices.
Our Policies
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner, including:
- A Recruitment Policy to ensure we recruit fairly and do not exploit workers
- A Whistleblowing Policy so staff can raise concerns without fear of retaliation
- An Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work Policy
- A Supplier Code of Conduct communicated to all key suppliers
Due Diligence
We undertake due diligence on our supply chain partners. We assess potential risks in our supply chains and take steps to mitigate them. We do not knowingly work with any organisation that engages in or facilitates modern slavery or human trafficking.
Risk Assessment
We assess that the risk of modern slavery within our own business is low given the nature of the professional services we provide. We continue to monitor our supply chains for any signs of exploitation and remain vigilant to emerging risks.
Training
We provide awareness training to our staff on modern slavery, helping them understand the risks, recognise warning signs, and know how to report concerns.
Key Performance Indicators
We measure our effectiveness in combating modern slavery by:
- The completion rate of staff awareness training
- The number of reports received through our whistleblowing channels
- Annual review of supplier compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct
Approval
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 2025. It has been approved by the Board of Directors of Academy Education Network Ltd.
