Study in the UK from Hong Kong
Since the launch of the BN(O) visa route in 2021, more than 200,000 Hong Kongers have relocated to the UK — and education is one of the main drivers. BN(O) holders qualify for UK Home fees after three years of UK residence, putting top-tier universities within reach at a fraction of international cost. AEN supports both recent BN(O) arrivals and direct-from-Hong-Kong applicants.
Fee Status
Hong Kong students on a Student visa pay international fees. BN(O) visa holders ordinarily resident in the UK for 3+ years qualify for UK Home fees — a significant saving (typically £15,000–£25,000 per year of study compared with international rates).
Visa Requirements
Direct-from-Hong-Kong students need a UK Student Route visa. BN(O) visa holders already in the UK do not need a separate Student visa — your existing status covers study. AEN advises on the right route based on your residency timeline and target start date.
